SETApps organized F1 in Schools Greece – Regional Finals
11 teams from 10 schools participated in the Northern Greece Regional Finals, hosted in Thessaloniki, from 04th to 05th April 2014.
22 teams from 18 schools participated in the Southern Greece Regional Finals, hosted in Athens, from 11th to 12th April 2014.
After 2 + 2 days of full actions 18 teams representing 16 schools around Greece (over 100 pupils) qualified to compete in the National Finals on 2 and 3 May 2014 at the Mall Athens Shopping Center.
SETApps, a partner in the Inspiring Science Education project, is running the F1inSchools Greece contest, which is now in its 3rd year of operation. The three video links below show the highlights of the F1 in Schools Greece 2013 Regional and National Finals.
The F1 in Schools is a worldwide multi-disciplinary challenge for pupils aged from 9-19, and one of the largest educational initiatives promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). It was first introduced in the UK in 1999 and has grown around the world operating now in over 30 countries. The two video links below show the highlights of the F1 in Schools World Finals at Abu Dhabi 2012 and Austin 2013. This year's F1 in Schools World Finals will take place in Abu Dhabi in November 2014.
The F1 in Schools is an educational application of the Inspiring Science Education (ISE) project and has been used for the development of two Inspiring Science Education (ISE) Demonstrators. To find out how your school can get involved go to the Participate section.
