The British Science Festival

The British Science Association provides opportunities for all people to enjoy, explore, investigate and discuss science. Their vision is a society where science is a part of, not set apart from, society and culture.

Each September the British Science Festival transforms a different UK city into a vibrant celebration of science, engineering and technology. This year's Festival will take place in Birmingham, in partnership with the University of Birmingham, from 6 to 11 September 2014.

The festival has a very broad and stimulating program for families, adults and school groups and invites them to come together and:

  • take aprt of workshops
  • explore exciting hands-on exhibitions
  • marvel at miraculous science shows
  • discuss the latest breakthroughs and issues with renowned experts
  • enjoy fun quizzes, science comedy and drama
  • interact with science buskers on the streets
